After the shutdown of the servers of Blue Protocol, Shanghai Bokura Network Technology — a subsidiary of Tencent — surprised the community by resurrecting the MMORPG under the name Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
On their official YouTube channel, the developers released a trailer confirming that a closed beta will take place in China “very soon,” although no specific date has been revealed.

This closed test will arrive before the scheduled July 17 launch in China. Players will soon be able to sign up to participate in the tests and provide their impressions on the game’s condition, server stability, and refinement of mechanics.
The video showcases group combat scenes, dungeon exploration, and brief glimpses of the Mastery-based progression system, one of Star Resonance’s cornerstones.
The company has already enabled official pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store, where it is possible to add the game to wishlists and enable alerts to not miss any future news.
While the global version is expected sometime in 2025, everything depends on the reception of the beta in China. If expectations are met, the momentum for its international release will be unstoppable.
